I am Denis L. Tanney and I have been shooting still photography for well over 54 years. I began with a real interest in my high school days shooting team sports for our paper. I became shooting seriously during college when I realized I had the natural ability to capture images in a unique and interesting way. I was extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to study under the great Canadian portrait photographer, Yousuf Karsh, while attending Emerson College in Boston. From him, I learned the inside routes toward attaining the best photos from my subjects. My concentration has been in the world of cars... racing and collecting. I have since photographed some of the greatest racing drivers and technicians of our era in this field.
Since 1988 I have been shooting professionally for many manufacturers, publishers, magazines, brochures, calendars, books, agencies and more. I retain a vast file of slides and digital images.
